The “stocking stuffer” signing at Eggemeyers on December 6th came off fantastically. A big thanks to Bobby and Karen Eggemeyer for carrying my books and allowing me to have the signing in their store! I was overcome by the nostalgic warmth and good, old-fashioned Christmas spirit their place exudes that time of year! Thanks also to my friend and professional photographer, Arthur Spragg, for coming by unexpectedly and taking the photos displayed below. It takes a real pro to catch my “good side” and somehow he pulled it off…I think. Looks like he must be a master at PhotoShop as well! :). Thanks also to Arthur’s beautiful wife for her spontaneous testimony about The Daily Island…great sale, Elia!

Also wanted to let you know that, in addition to www.Amazon.com and the publishers website, www.unlockabook.com, the books are now available online through Barnes and Noble at www.bn.com and Target at www.target.com. As you know they are also available in many local stores…Eggemeyers, of course, Hastings, Book Heaven, and, most recently, Ridgway Florists at their new store on Sherwood Way.
FYI and Prayer/Help Requests: The books are now listed on the book data bases of major distributors Ingram and Baker & Taylor through a relationship I’ve developed with Pathway Book Sevices in New Hampshire. This should allow me to make inroads to place the books into major bookstore chains…given that I can convince their buyers. Here’s where my request(s) come in…first, I ask for your prayers that doors open with the buyers that I am contacting and that the books are picked up by the major chains. Secondly, I ask for your continued help in substantiating my case for the books. You can do this by continuing to spread the word about them and letting others know about signing up on my blog so they get regular updates. It would also be a great help if you would go post comments / reviews about the books on www.Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble (www.bn.com).
I have also established a forum to track reading experiences and the number of times the God’s Little Treasures children’s books are read to children. I have set a goal of having the children’s books read to 1,000,000 children and would like to be able to prove that through the Readers Army. Just go to www.readersarmy.com to read about the idea. The sign-up is easy. I would love for the reading and posting “army” to grow and grow!
Finally, I have established an affiliate program where anyone or business (I approve of :)) can signup to be an affiliate through the Affiliate link on the www.unlockabook.com site. An affiliate will be paid progressive commissions from 10 to 20% based on cumulative sales. Commissions are paid automatically one time per month into the affiliate’s PayPal account. Signing up is extremely easy and selling is as easy as sending out an email template with your affiliate link…if someone clicks through your link and buys a book, you get paid. It really is that easy. I hope you’ll consider it and/or refer the program to someone you feel would be interested and could benefit…perfect for college students and Moms at home!
Thanks for your continued support and God Bless You and Your Loved Ones throughout this great new year. 2009 is gonna be fine!
